nanoMPC: The GPT Model That Learns to Make Drum Beats

Today, we’re excited to announce the beta release of nanoMPC, a compact generative pre-trained transformer model (GPT) designed specifically for music producers and content creators. With nanoMPC, personalized models can be trained efficiently to generate endless quantities of MIDI drum patterns.

As part of this release, we’ve launched a development program for individuals interested in creating their own custom models. The program provides support for preparing and processing MIDI data, enabling musicians to focus on creativity rather than the complexities of developing an AI model.
